This song of funk is an appreciation for the funk throughout music history and a fun, exhilarating opportunity to play the clavinet (virtual clavinet). I enjoyed writing and recording this tune.

About the Music:

The arrangement of this tune is from a song that I had began on Logic Pro as a semi-experiment to using it - getting my feet wet, if you will. The tune is called "Project O". I enjoyed the changes of Minor 3rds in "Project O" and decided to utilize it more for example, going from C minor to Eb minor to Ab minor, and so on. I still love this progression and wanted to use it in a different setting. So, here is Project: Revivial

Why "Revival"?

"Revival" came from a plan for Project O to stress positivity and God. Here is where the lyrics "Listen to my mother's words, I'll never be a rollie pollie. Listen to my father's voice, don'y let the negative control me" from the end of "Another Name in the Sea" (Potpourri Part 2) originated from. However, this is a version of the song without lyrics.
