This song is dedicated to my friend, Mardi, as well as my other friends and ANYONE who has triumphed through some of life's adversities. In conversations with my friends, we have looked on our lives, where and what we've been through, and where we are. We've been eager for the future ahead of us - future opportunities and endeavors. However, life isn't always the easiest endeavor but the best teacher. Maybe even a best/close friend depending on your relationship with it.

Through this song, God placed it in my spirit to put a mirror up to the future - up to the road ahead that has shaped by the past behind. One doesn't have to necessarily outweigh the other but the future can be far greater and IS. worth the living if you give it the chance, God the chance, and YOU the chance. We can all strive for a better version of ourselves and at the end of the day, no matter what, we are all trying.

Race against the race. Challenge the challenge by pushing through. We can triumph over the mountains but there is no triumph without the "try".
