All You Can Do (In Brasil)

A nod to Carnaval and Samba, I wanted to create a festive mood. I love Brazilian music and George Duke's 1979 "Brazilian Love Affair". I also love the music of the 2011 "Rio" (animation) movie soundtrack. God used these aspects and His Spirit to allow me to indulge in the beautiful Baiao rhythms of Brasil.

This version of "All You Can Do' is one of three (3) existing style variations (with the drums). The Potpourri Part 2 version is the soft rock style that I first had in mind.

For this version of "All You Can Do", I further studied from and was inspired by "Drummers Collective Series: Brazilian Rhythms for Drumset" by Duduka da Fonseca and Bob Weiner. I wanted to do this to better capture the authenticity of the Baiao rhythm and how I could apply it to the delicate base arrangement. These were the building blocks to create my own personal Carnaval festival.

The base arrangement for where all of the drum variations originated was only vocals, keyboards, electric guitars, bass guitar, and a metronome click that I had to create due to prior tech issues.
